Help! I have been printing fine from a Toshiba laptop Windows 10 to this printer. I now have a new DELL laptop, Windows 10, Office 2010. I have installed drivers from HP website. Printing from Word and Publisher text prints just fine. But all images get cropped. The documents view fine on screen, images look great but when printed a chunk of the right hand side and a chunk of the bottom of all images gets cropped. BUT if I save these documents in PDF format and send these to print... they print perfectly. I really don’t want to have to save everything as pdf format to be able to print. Help would be appreciated!

Some things to check ...
Preferences - Correct odd / wrong-sized Image Sizes (for example, when printed from Word)
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences >
Tab Layout > Click Advanced > Switch OFF HP Real Life Technologies
"Fix the image" as it appears in your Word Document
If you do not already have a copy of the image file, create a file from the image in your Word document.
Open your Word document
Right-Click on the Image
Use "Save-As" and save the image as a .jpg file on your computer.
Pay attention to the folder in which you save the file...
(Not copy / paste)
Use Insert > Pictures and insert the image file into your Word document.
Right-Click on the image (after it is placed in the document)
Adjust the Size and Position to move the image inside the document boundaries.
What else?
Line spacing can get you into trouble, though when the other settings are correct, it is not always necessary to set / adjust the line spacing (before / after) the image placement to "single space" (as opposed to Normal).
What else?
If it is only the "one" image that is misbehaving, you likely do not have to change this setting...
Word document > File > Options > Advanced
In Section Image Size and Quality
CHECK Do not compress images in file
and
Select a Default Resolution
For example, 330 ppi or 150 ppi
A lower number creates a less dense image (and slightly reduces overall file size).

Hi Dragon-Fur
Thanks so much for coming back so speedily and with yourt suggestions. The only thing I hadn't tried was
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences >
Tab Layout > Click Advanced > Switch OFFHP Real Life Technologies - but unfortunately that made no difference.
In the end there were several issues -
- .doc and .pub files had been created in Offie 2003 were being used so I saved them as 2010 format -.docx - to generate hugely compressed files automatically - but still no joy on printing
- Established that photos were fine, but it was only images downloaded from the internet were problematic.. even though saving them locally as - eg .jpg or .png - and then inserting them the 'correct' way via Insert > Picture - rather than copy/paste...
- Eventual work-around was to use Snipping Tool to capture image from internet, save that cut image locally as .jpg or .png and then via Insert > Picture... Eureka! Not ideal... but saves printing everything to pdf file format to print
I hope this is helpful to anyone having similar issues.
Thanks again Dragon-Fur!

You are welcome.
Good idea - completely replacing the image usually fixes it, particularly when saving/re-inserting, or changing the document characteristics do not do so. As long as you have the option to replace an image you need not worry over how to edit / save the one you have in the document.

Stay Vigilant.
