Hello all,

I changed my router so I had to re-setup the printer.

The wireless setup was not working. Tried resetting the printer etc.

Ok sometimes things don't work so I bought a USB cable, the printer shows up in HP Smart, great...

 

But now I can't print and HP smart asks me to "USE SETUP CARTRIDGES - To complete printer setup, you must install the cartridges labeled SETUP that shipped in the box with the printer ...". Of course I am using official HP ink.

 

What are these things (and why should I have kept them)?

Is there any chance I can get this _new_ printer to work before I decide to recycle it?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. It is an existing printer, not a new printer, it should NOT asking for setup ink cartridges. Please use the following instructions to fix:
