Product: HP LasarJet Pro 4101fdw

Hope this helps someone.

 

New HP LasarJet Pro 4101fdw, installed "HP Smart" and tried to configure "Scan to Email"

 

Up pops a dialog box asking for a PIN.

 

Tells you where to find it, even will print out a page with the PIN.  Entered the PIN -> Submit and you get "Incorrect Pin. Try again".

 

Called HP and they ask me did you try "12345678", was like "No, why the heck would I try that?"

 

Bottom line, it works.
