I hear that your printer is showing offline. Try these HP steps for an offline printer after a restart:
- Check printer status on the computer:
- In Windows, open Printers or Printers and Faxes.
- If the printer shows Offline, right-click it and choose Use Printer Online.
- If it shows Paused, choose Resume Printing.
- In Windows, open Printers or Printers and Faxes.
- Clear the print queue:
- Delete any pending print jobs, then try printing again.

- Check the connection:
- If using a USB, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, or try a different USB port.
- If using wireless, make sure wireless is turned on, and no Ethernet cable is connected, because Ethernet can disable wireless on supported models.

- Run the printer’s wireless/network test:
- From the printer front panel, print the Wireless Network Test or Network Configuration Page to verify connection status.

- In Windows Printer Properties > Ports, make sure the selected port matches the printer’s current network connection. HP notes that an offline condition can happen if the printer connection changes after a restart.
