HP Envy Photo 7830

Hi I have just bought this new printer but when I install the ink cartridges it keeps telling me  to remove the black cartridge and ensure it is installed correctly. I have done this several times but still getting the message. Could the printer be faulty

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

It could be a defective ink cartridge too.

 

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Hi Betty thank you for your reply. I managed to return the printer and get a replacement. All is fine with the new one ink installed no problem. Thanks for your help
