Brand new Envy 7200.  Ink ran out after 3 days so I signed up for the automatic ink supply program.   It didn't  get delivered- lost in the mail -  so I had to **bleep** and after a delay they sent additional ink cartridges.      I finally got the  two  new ink cartridges today and  installed them but  it won't print in color.  The print drivers do not have a button to control anything other than black and white.  I tried to find and download new print drivers but I'm all up to date.   My color documents only print in black and white.   Test sheets originating inside the printer do have color.

I'm  using a brand new MacBook M4 Pro with Sequoia 15.3.  I've now had this printer for about three weeks and it's utterly worthless.

@RealUnhappy, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Envy Inspire 7200!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It seems like you are facing an issue with color printing on your HP Envy 7200 printer, even after installing new ink cartridges. Given that the printer drivers do not provide options to control color printing, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve this issue.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the new cartridges you received are correctly installed and have sufficient ink.

Clean Printhead:

  • Sometimes, the printhead may need cleaning. You can use the printer's maintenance tools to run a cleaning cycle.

Verify Printer Settings:

  • Make sure that your printer settings are not set to grayscale or black-and-white printing by default. You can check this in your printer properties menu.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Even if you think your drivers are up to date, try downloading the latest drivers from the HP support website. Then reinstall them to ensure they are correctly installed.

Printer Firmware Update:

  • Sometimes updating the printer firmware can solve issues. Check if there is any firmware update available for your printer model on the HP support page.

Test Page:

  • Print a test page using the printer’s ‘Print Quality Diagnostic Page’ feature. It can be accessed from the printer’s settings or control panel.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
