So, purchased a new printer as my previous HP printer went sideways on me. I connected and installed the printer, with no problems, and for the first day and a half, I was able to use it with no issue. THEN, I would send things to the printer, and I noticed that there was no communication to the printer and I didn't receive an error code from my laptop or anything. So thought it may have been a one-time thing, but no, the same issue occurred on another laptop. I printed out the Wi-Fi status reports, network configuration reports, and they came with everything was fine except my connectivity failed. I have been at this for hours and I keep getting the same message on HP Smart App that states My product was unable to be connected because of Error Code: OW_4XX_OWSWS00001.
Looked into and attempted to try most suggestions out there. I am curious I anyone might be able to point me in the right direction. I am at a point where I will pay the money for a one time problem 1:1 session. Just thought I would try the forum first. See photos below. The first photo was the first Network test results after instillation. Then the second is what I get the several time I would try to re-install printer. I only have one router FYI.
Thanks all--
Justin

@JutMSmith, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Envy 6100e printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Check Connections:
- Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong and that the printer is connected to the correct network.
Restart Devices:
- Sometimes, simply restarting your printer, router, and computer can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off all devices and then turn them back on after a minute or two.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers:
- Make sure that your printer firmware and drivers are up to date. Visit the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.
HP Smart App:
- If you're using the HP Smart App, try removing the printer from the app and then adding it back again. This can refresh the connection between your devices.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This tool can diagnose and fix many common printer issues.
Reinstall the Printer:
- If the problem persists, try uninstalling the printer software from your computer and reinstalling it.
Check Network Settings:
- Make sure your printer's IP address settings are correct. Sometimes, assigning a static IP address to the printer can help maintain a stable connection.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
