HP Laserjet 1012
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried unsuccessfully to install a driver for my HP Laserjet 1012 on Windows 10 Home 64-bit.  Latest was using "HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5 (64-bit)", which I have tried before.  I have also tried HL3055 PCL5

The driver and the printer install smoothly, but then nothing happens when I hit print.

Am I wasting my time?  Must I buy a used Laserjet of a more current version that will work with my operating system?

Hi,

The HP Laserjet 1012 uses the Host-Based printing language only, it does not support PCL5 and therefore will not work with HP UPD or any other PCL5 driver.

I afraid the printer is incompatible with Windows 10 and no drivers are available, you will need a later printer to be used with Windows 10.

Thank you.  Now I can stop wasting my time trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
