I am trying to install drivers for this printer and I get this point in the picture. It will only allow me to type letters and has no info as to what they want!? I cannot continue without it being filled in. Any ideas?

Hi @Cazg272,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I can guide you through the general process of installing drivers for a printer.
Here are the typical steps to install drivers for a Deskjet 1512 printer.
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the official HP website (assuming it's an HP Deskjet 1512) and locate the driver download section. Make sure you download the correct driver for your operating system.
- Download the Driver: Download the driver software to your computer. It's often available as an executable file (.exe) for Windows or a package (.dmg) for Mac.
- Run the Installer: Double-click on the downloaded file to run the installer. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed through the installation process.
- Connect the Printer: During the installation, you'll likely be prompted to connect your printer to the computer. Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to your computer via USB or through a network, depending on the connection type.
- Follow Setup Instructions: The installation process may ask you for certain information, such as the region or language. Fill in the required fields as accurately as possible. If there's a field where you're supposed to enter information, make sure to follow any instructions provided.
If you encounter a specific field that's causing trouble, it's possible that the installation wizard is requesting information related to your location, language, or network settings. Try to interpret the context of the request and input the necessary information accordingly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
