  1. Unpack the Printer: Remove all packaging materials, including any protective tapes and covers, from the printer.
  2. Install Paper Trays: Insert the paper trays as per the instructions in the printer's setup guide.
  3. Power On the Printer: Connect the printer to a power source using the provided power cord and turn it on.

2: Connect the Printer

  1. Wired Network Setup:
    • Use an Ethernet cable to connect the printer to your network router or switch.
    • Alternatively, use a USB cable if you are connecting directly to a computer.

3: Install Printer Software

  1. Download Drivers: Go to the HP Support Website and enter "HP LaserJet M438dn MFP" in the search bar.
  2. Select Drivers: Choose the appropriate drivers and software for your operating system.
  3. Install Drivers: Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the drivers.

4: Configure Printer Settings

  1. Access Printer Preferences: In your computer’s “Control Panel,” find “Devices and Printers” and right-click on the HP LJ M438dn MFP printer to access “Printer Properties.”
  2. Set Preferences: Configure the print settings, such as paper size and type, default tray, and print quality.

5: Test the Printer

  1. Print a Test Page: Ensure everything is set up correctly by printing a test page from the “Printer Properties” window.
