Hi @Arlene_21,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Installing a printer on an HP Chromebook involves a few straightforward steps. Here’s a guide to help you through the process:
Set Up Using Google Cloud Print (Recommended)
Check Printer Compatibility:
- Ensure that your printer supports Google Cloud Print. Most modern printers and HP printers are compatible with Google Cloud Print.
Connect Printer to Google Cloud Print:
- Open a web browser on a computer or another device and go to Google Cloud Print (https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/).
- Sign in with the same Google account that you use on your Chromebook.
- Click on "Classic printers" and then "Add printers."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer to Google Cloud Print.
Enable Google Cloud Print on Chromebook:
- On your Chromebook, click on the time in the bottom right corner to open the system menu.
- Select "Settings."
- Scroll down and click on "Advanced" at the bottom of the settings page.
- Under "Printing," click "Printers."
- Click "Add Printer."
- Your printer should appear under "Available printers to save." Select it and click "Add."
- If your printer does not appear, click "Add Manually," enter the printer’s IP address, and click "Add."
Test Print:
- Open a document or web page on your Chromebook.
- Press Ctrl + P on your keyboard or click on the Print icon.
- Select your printer from the list.
- Adjust print settings if necessary and click "Print" to test.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
