Hi @Arlene_21,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Installing a printer on an HP Chromebook involves a few straightforward steps. Here’s a guide to help you through the process:

Set Up Using Google Cloud Print (Recommended)

Check Printer Compatibility:

  • Ensure that your printer supports Google Cloud Print. Most modern printers and HP printers are compatible with Google Cloud Print.

Connect Printer to Google Cloud Print:

  • Open a web browser on a computer or another device and go to Google Cloud Print (https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/).
  • Sign in with the same Google account that you use on your Chromebook.
  • Click on "Classic printers" and then "Add printers."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer to Google Cloud Print.

Enable Google Cloud Print on Chromebook:

  • On your Chromebook, click on the time in the bottom right corner to open the system menu.
  • Select "Settings."
  • Scroll down and click on "Advanced" at the bottom of the settings page.
  • Under "Printing," click "Printers."
  • Click "Add Printer."
  • Your printer should appear under "Available printers to save." Select it and click "Add."
  • If your printer does not appear, click "Add Manually," enter the printer’s IP address, and click "Add."

Test Print:

  • Open a document or web page on your Chromebook.
  • Press Ctrl + P on your keyboard or click on the Print icon.
  • Select your printer from the list.
  • Adjust print settings if necessary and click "Print" to test.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
