Product: Laserjet MFP m227 fdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Install software fails to find my printer.  Print and Scan Doctor finds it.  And I can access the printer by entering the printer's IP address in my browser.  I can print test pages via that connection.  Printer is connected to the same network as my PC.

I have rebooted the router multiple times.  Rebooted the printer and PC multiple times and I have attemped to reinstall the driver sofware multiple times after deleating all instances of it beforehand. 

This all began several days ago when I discovered that the Scan to File function had stopped working, at which point I began trying to reinstall the printer.  Note that the printer still printed from my PC at that time.

I can't figure out why the Scan and Print Doctor can see the printer and I can call it up thru my browser, but the install software can't find it.

I have searched the internet and this forum and discovered many references and apparent solutions to this problem.  Nothing has worked for me.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Try downloading the latest software below to ensure the correct driver is used, a such may happen due to wrongly downloading a driver of another model of the same series as an example:

May you able to find the printer with this installation?

Thanks.  I appreciate your timely suggestion, but that is the same version I have been trying this morning.  Any other ideas are welcome.
