Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

Windows 10 supports this printer using the Windows Built-in Print Driver.

Windows print driver provides basic print function.

Scan is possible using software / applications that are compatible with the built-in print driver.

Reference here:

HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver

Scan?  See Section FAQ > How do I use the printer functions with the built-in driver?

Example

Scan documents and photos: Complete scan jobs with a Windows app that works with the built-in driver.

  • Windows Fax and Scan: In Windows, search for and open Windows Fax and Scan. Click New Scan, and then select your printer.
  • Windows Paint: In Windows, search for and open Paint. Click FileFrom scanner or camera.
  • Windows Scan app: In Windows, search for and open the Windows Scan app. If it is not listed, go to Windows Scan (in English) to install it.

Third party scan software is generally available -- and likely not free.

One "not free" example of software that would might work:  VueScan

Inclusion of the link is not an endorsement of the product - I don't use the software.

Thanks so much Dragon.  Was working with my old Windows 7. Had to buy the 10 due to  Chrome updates ending, \Kills  the printer,  Catch 22.  Thanks again!

You are welcome.

Unfortunately, sometimes the answer is "No".

No one likes that answer. 😑

In this case, the answer is not "No" as much as "Works - but not quite as nicely as having full driver printer software".
