I cannot install driver for HP 9020 on windows server 2008 r2. Ive tried extracting the msi through the log files in the temp folder.. But I keep on getting the same error message in the log files as I do when trying to install using the traditional exe files.
Why cant HP create an Image specifically for windows server 2008?!?

Hi,
You should install the MSI file through the Command Line using an MSIEXEC command on a server, be sure to add an ENTERPRISE=YES argument to the install command.
Please see below guidelines to install the HP Software on a Server OS, see the 'Customize the installation' section below:

Please also note the following for Server 2008:
- On Windows Server 2008, the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is not installed by default. For scanning to work you must install the Desktop Experience Feature. The WIA service will then be enabled by default.
- On Windows Server 2008 R2, the Desktop Experience feature must be installed before plug and playing a USB.
