@oh_Dear

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try using the built-in drivers: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

Hi,

and thanks.

Seriously, I have tried everything I could try before posting, so yes i have tried this.

One of the problems is that windows update won't connect, so I am going to try

the reduced or safe boot procedure where only a limited number of drivers and

software are loaded as per MS own (and only advise for a growing number of

people experiencing the same problem, either that or reload windows 10 can

you believe) next.

Any more ideas?

Thanks.

Let's create a local account and then install the windows built-in drivers: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-acc...
