HP Officejet 6978
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a new HP Officejet 6978 printer.  When installing it installed as an:

HP Officejet 6970

Is this correct?  Should it install as a 6978 or is the definition "6970" just a generic term?

THanks

Hi,

This is correct,

An HP printer driver always list the printer series name and not the printer model, the same applies for any model of the 6970 Series, such as the HP Officejet Pro 6975 or 6978.
