My new Tank 2504dw is almost out of the OEM supplied ink, I already have the new toner to install, but I've never installed ink for a tank printer. I suppose that is easy enough, but do I have to wait until it is all gone, before adding the new ink? Or can I just pour in the new ink before the old stuff is used up? Sorry for the silly question, but I've only had inkjet printers and then lasers for the last 16 years.

Printer should at least be displaying low to ensure that the printer can accept the whole bottle of toner without spillage. see video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GioZ_QbVKME

Thanks for the link to that video. I didn't realize that light was a toner level indicator. It doesn't appear to be indicating low, as the two lights from the bottom are still lit when I print. However, the browser page UI for the printer has me at 10%, which I believe is only 500 more pages. So looks like I have time. I'll just wait for the light to go to that third level before I refill.
FWIW, the Supplies Status page has me as having 937 pages remaining, so looks like I've still got some printing left.
