Hi @Sanjape,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "PCL XL error - Internal error 0x50" typically indicates an issue related to the printer’s firmware, corrupted print jobs, or driver conflicts. Here are some steps to help resolve the issue.

Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart your computer as well to clear any temporary glitches.

Clear the Print Queue

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select See what's printing.
  • If there are any stuck print jobs, right-click on them and select Cancel.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP website to download the latest printer drivers for your model.
  • Uninstall the current printer driver from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Reinstall the latest driver and software package.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Sometimes, an outdated firmware can cause such errors. Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model on the HP website or via the HP Smart app.

Check for Hardware Issues

  • Ensure there are no issues with the printer’s connections or physical components. Disconnect and reconnect the printer's cables if it's wired or restart your router if it's using WiFi.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

  • If none of the above resolves the issue, consider performing a factory reset on the printer to restore default settings. This option can usually be found in the printer’s menu under Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.

Try Printing from a Different Program

  • If the error appears only when printing from a specific application, try printing from another program to rule out software-related issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
