HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Wide Format All-in-One Printer

Just unboxed my new printer.  The PIN inside the ink cartridge cover doesn't work so it won't install on my computer.  My network is wired only, not wireless.  This is really annoying me.

@rfowler24,

Hey there! 😊 I totally get how frustrating this must be—new printer, fresh out of the box, and now this PIN issue? Not the setup experience anyone wants! 😤

No worries let’s fix it! Here’s what you can do:

🔹 Double-check the PIN – It’s usually 8 digits and found inside the ink cartridge cover. Make sure there are no typos.
🔹 Try the Printer Serial Number – Sometimes, the printer might accept the serial number instead of the PIN.
🔹 Reset the PIN – If the PIN isn’t working, you might need to reset it. Restart the printer and check the setup instructions again.
🔹 Use HP Smart App (If Possible) – Even if your network is wired, try setting it up through HP Smart on your computer.

If none of this work, let me know your printer model, printer's serial number or product number with us via private message, and I’ll guide you further. Let’s get this sorted! 🚀
