Hello!

I can't work out if my printer is postscript or not. And if it is how to utilise it.

 

I'm trying to speed up adobe illustrator and they recommend using a postscript printer. If I select this from the print menu, it just then saves the file as a .ps. It won't print it.

 

I have never understood what postscript really is. More research has left me more confused!

 

I hope someone can help!

Your printer is not Postscript.

 

Postscript is printer language just like human language, and your printer doesn't support ( understand) postscript commands sent by a computer/device.
