Is there a TWAIN driver for the OfficeJet Pro 9015e? I installed using HP Smart, but it only downloaded a WIA driver, which is limited in a number of ways, among them being that it doesn't support double-sided scanning.
I can use the scanning utility in HP Smart, but I like to use PaperPort, which relies on manufacturer's drivers.

Welcome to HP Support Community
I would like to help
I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the HP Easy Start Software
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJP9010/HPEasyStart-12.1.03-OJP9010_49_8_4576_1_F... and follow the onscreen instructions

Apologies for jumping in unannounced.

Remove extraneous information.
Yes, installing the Full Feature Software provides access to HP Twain on those printers that include the option.
For those reading,
Method - Use the Easy Start Wrapper to Install the Full Feature / Full Driver Software
For printers that support the option,
Use the Easy Start wrapper to install and configure the printer software.

- If using USB: Disconnect the USB cable between the printer and computer before installing the software.
- Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
- Select to install the “Full Driver” / “Full Feature Software”

Notes >> Easy Start... The Journey
- About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full Driver" set (as opposed to the basic driver or other application).
- You can skip / ignore suggestion(s) that you add the HP Account – you’ll need the account at some point, for now, you can skip this suggestion (as many times as it insists it’s a good idea) during the full driver software installation.
- If you see it, you can skip / ignore suggestion(s) regarding Instant Ink subscription. Instant Ink subscription is NOT mandatory.
- Full driver provides print and scan functions supported by your printer.

Original Content
Regardless of "the whole thing", you need the Full Feature Software / full driver to access the features on the printer.
Without the printer software, you are limited to what other applications can guess about the printer features.
If there is a specific Twain driver for this model (like exists in the OfficeJet Pro 9025), the driver is part of the full driver installation.

Example - HP Scan - part of the full driver
HP Scan works with other programs / applications to provide access to printer features.
