Printer stopped working after Windows 10 update was installed.

Hello,

Your printer doesn't have drivers for Windows 10, so I suggest you an alternative printer driver.

Proceed as follows, to install the alternative printer driver:

  1. Turn on your printer and connect the USB cable.
  2. In the Control Panel, under Hardware and Audio. Click View Devices and Printers. The Devices and Printers window opens.
  3. Click Add a Printer. The Add a Printer window opens.
  4. Click The printer you want is not listed.
  5. Select Add a local or network printer with manual settings and click Next.
  6. Click Use an existing port.
  7. Click on the Use Existing Port drop-down list and select LPT1: (Printer Port) or USB001 and click Next.
  8. Click on Windows Update.
  9. Under Manufacturer in the Install Printer Driver window, click HP.
  10. Under Printers, select HP Photosmart 8100 Series and click Next.
  11. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  12. Close all open windows and try to print.

"Windows Update" option doesn't bring anything anymore. Is there another way to get the driver?

Got the 8100 series driver installed but the printer came with"error" status right away. Please advise.
