Hi @Cortney3224,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your MacBook Neo likely has a mismatch with the printer's driver, a paused print queue, or a network conflict. To quickly fix it: reset your Mac's printing system and remove the old printer, then re-add it using Apple AirPrint or by downloading the latest HP Easy Start app.

Step-by-Step Fixes:

1. Reset the Printing System:

A corrupt print job or outdated driver often causes the printer to blink but refuse to process.

  • Go to Apple Menu  > System Settings > Printers & Scanners.

  • Control-click or right-click your printer in the list and select Reset printing system.

  • Confirm by selecting Reset (Note: this will clear all saved printers, so you will need to add your printer back).

2. Re-Add the Printer:

Once the printer list is cleared, add it back to your Mac.

  • Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax (or the Add (+) button).

  • Select your printer from the list.

  • In the "Use" or "Print Using" dropdown, ensure it is set to AirPrint or Secure AirPrint for the most reliable connection.

3. Check for HP Software:

If your printer requires specific drivers or has scanning features, you can install the dedicated software.

  • Download and install the HP Easy Start Printer Software to configure your printer correctly for macOS.

  • Ensure the printer and your MacBook Neo are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
