HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I had a notice yesterday that Scan Doctor had a new update so I attempted to install it on my one computer and it failed and now Scan Doctor won't work.

I have another computer that has the same OS and printer with the old version and it gave me the same message about the update but I didn't update it and it still works fine.

How do I correct the first computer or is there a fix in the works???

Thanks,

Zach

           Hello Zach33,

Uninstall this update, restart the computer and printer; everything will be back to normal.

Hi Bernard42,

Thanks for answering my post!!!

The only way I found to uninstall the update was to delete the file and then ran the old most current update that I always save on my computers.

That corrected the issue and things are back to normal.

I know that I should be running Windows 10 or 11 but I tried Windows 10 when it was released back in July 2015, if my memory serves me correctly, and ran it for a year and couldn't stand it so went back to 10 and have stayed with it...

I am going to be 80 years old so I don't have any issues with Windows 10 but my mind just doesn't work like it used to so I doubt that I will be changing my OS!!!

Thanks Again for your post.

Have a good Day,

Zach
