HP Spectre x360 - 15-ap012dx (ENERGY STAR)

I keep getting 'Application Frame Host not responding' error when trying to open HP Smart on my HP Spectre x360 to to control my HP OfficeJet Pro 6975 All-in-One printer. Have Windows 10 Version 22H2. Can't find why Application Frame Host is needed to open HP Smart.

Hi @MACRed.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

There are many possible reasons why this issue happens. To further isolate your issue, kindly answer the following questions:

  • Have you made any other changes to your PC prior to the issue?
  • What are the troubleshooting methods that you've tried so far?

The most probable cause of your issue is a corrupted Windows Store cache or an out-dated Operating System. Is your Windows up to date? If not, kindly follow these steps to update your PC:

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Update & security>Windows Update.
  3. Click Check for updates and install the latest updates to your PC.

Once done, uninstall and reinstall HP smart and check how it goes.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
