I have a Deskjet 2800e all-in-one printer, how do I keep the printer on all the time so I can print from my phone without having to go to the printer, turn it on, and then wait for it to connect the the wireless network?

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To keep your HP DeskJet 2800e all-in-one printer on and ready for printing, you can adjust its power settings. Here’s how you can ensure it stays powered on:
Disable Sleep Mode:
- Some printers have a sleep mode that automatically activates after a period of inactivity. Check your printer settings:
- On the printer control panel, navigate to Settings or Setup.
- Look for Power Management or Sleep Mode options and set it to Off or extend the time before it enters sleep mode.
Keep it Plugged In:
- Ensure your printer is always plugged into a power source. If it has a power switch, keep it turned on.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes updates can enhance connectivity options.
Use HP Smart App:
- Make sure you have the HP Smart app installed on your phone. This app can help manage your printer settings and keep it connected.
Set Up Wake on LAN (if available):
- Some printers support Wake on LAN features, allowing them to wake up from a low power state when you send a print job. Check your printer’s documentation for this option.
Check Wireless Connection:
- Ensure your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If it disconnects frequently, it may enter a power-saving state.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
