If your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M126nw printer's settings are not working correctly, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Restart the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer using the power button.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  3. Wait for about 60 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  5. Turn the printer back on.

2. Check Print Settings

For Windows Users:

  1. Open the document or photo you want to print.
  2. Press Ctrl + P or click Print to open the print window.
  3. Access the printer properties or settings (this could be called Printer Properties, Properties, More settings, Printer, or Options depending on your software).
  4. Adjust the printer settings, such as paper size, paper type, and print quality. Ensure the settings match the paper loaded in the printer.
  5. Click OK to apply and then print your document.

For Mac Users:

  1. Open the document or photo you want to print.
  2. Click File > Print to open the print settings.
  3. Ensure your printer is selected, and check the options for paper size and type.
  4. Choose the highest print quality available for best results.
  5. Click Print.
