Product number Q6503A works very well except for this annoying problem with one blank page between every printed page... This happens from printer console reports as well so I've read this is most likely a HW issue? I'm also getting occasional jams so I've ordered the separator and pickup parts, but suspect something else is causing these blank pages? What would cause the pickup up to grab another page? Maybe dust or debris interfering with paper sensors. Or some kind of firmware corruption? Please advise, thanks!!

Ah, thanks, that makes sense as it does look like the pickup keeps turning.... picking up one page at a time.... Looks like it will be tricky getting at the pickup solenoid in this unit? Any clues? I have the back and right side covers off, but no sight of solenoid.
Thanks!!!

Most feeding issues are mechanical in nature. If the separation pad is worn a second page can be pulled at the same time as the first and then eject. Also a sticking solenoid on the pickup assembly can cause this issue, that is usually evident by the pickup roller continuing to rotate even after a page has already been pulled from the tray.

Found the little bugger.... On the 3055 it hides out behind the right side cover near the back bottom. The damper material on the solenoid had turned to goo so I removed that and replaced with a piece of heat shrink....
Works good now, thanks to Repairatrooper!!
