Product: HP Officejet 5258
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am attempting to connect a newly purchased HP OfficeJet 5258 to my HP laptop through my home WiFi. (My home WiFi is functioning flawlessly.) When I select add a device in my settings a window appears that asks for the product WPS pin and instructs me to look for the pin on the literature that accompanied the printer or look for the pin on the product itself. I have done those searches to no avail, My new printer is not recognized or displayed in the devices window.

 

So, I have a non-functioning printer, no pins anywhere and nowhere to look next.
