Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have downloaded the appropriate drivers to my new laptop for my canon MX 492 printer. I have the printer connected through USB connection.  During the set up, the laptop cannot find the printer. I know the USB cord is connected and is in working order.  I have followed the instructions available on the HP website without success. I’m looking for more instruction please.
