@PaulLParsons, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printing Issues on HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your laptop requires you to save a document as a PDF before printing and it still doesn't print, there may be several reasons behind this issue. Here are some possible causes and solutions:
Printer Setup:
- Ensure your printer is properly set up in the HP Smart app, including connected to the internet and registered to your HP account.
- For more information, visit HP printer setup (HP Smart app).
Print Anywhere Feature:
- Make sure Print Anywhere is enabled in the HP Smart app if you are trying to print remotely. Follow instructions on how to use this feature:
- Open the document you want to print directly from the HP Smart app.
- Change desired print settings via the print preview.
- Click 'Print' or 'Send File' to initiate the print job.
- Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure your printer is online and connected to your Wi-Fi network. Check HP Smart app’s settings for a Ready status and a green cloud icon indicating your printer is remotely connected.
- Troubleshoot any printer errors indicated in the app, such as low ink levels or paper jams.
File Type Compatibility:
- Make sure that the file type you are trying to print is supported. For example, ensure that your PDF document is not password-protected. Accepted file types for remote printing from macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS include JPG/JPEG, PNG, PDF, PPT/PPTX, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
