I am extremely frustrated with this printer! The printer goes to sleep after 30 minutes and won't wake up when a document is sent. I have to turn it off and turn it back on. When it is actually "awake" I have to push ok to get it to print anyway. We "fixed" it yesterday and that lasted 24 hours. It's back to the same problem now. I am ready to throw it out the window!!!!! It's brand new as of a month or two ago. The advanced settings on the app are locked and on top of that, even when we can get to them, there is no way to disable sleep mode or power save mode. Does anyone have a work around or fix for this.
Also, I tried to do a firmware update but it doesn't find the printer, even though it is connected with the cable.

The maximum on time for current models is 8 hours, which after that amount of inactivity, they shut off completely and need to be restarted. There appears to be no option to turn off this function. This is done to comply with mandated energy saving policies. With an enterprise product like the 57540 or M578 you can, but Pro models appear to trying to comply with consumer requirements.

Thank you for your response. Yes, we managed to set that shutoff time to eight hours yesterday. That's fine when it shuts off at the end of the day. The issue seems to be more with the sleep mode. We've set it to the maximum time but when it goes to sleep, I have to turn it off and back on to wake it up. It won't wake up when sent a file to print.
On top of that, often when it comes back on, the screen switches from "Ready" to paper settings when sending a file. At that point, I can't figure out how to get it to print at all.
