I have some workers who keep trying to print to this printer. When ever they try to print to this printer though it defaults to tray 1 and has they have to manually go through the menu to print off of tray 2. I have set their printer property settings to print from tray 2 on their computers. I set "Tray Priority" on the printer itself to tray 2, "Use Requested tray" is set to Exclusively, and "Use Another Tray" is set to do not allow. I have also tried different settings under these options but still no luck. When i try to print a test sheet from a computer or the printer though it still defaults to trying to print from tray 1. Is there a setting I'm missing or is there a setting that I'm just not setting up right to get tray 2 to be the default?

The problem has been fixed! I'm not exactly sure why but switching "tray protection" from tray 2 to tray 1 fixed the issue of it always trying to print to tray 1 instead of tray 2. Thanks for trying to help out! I greatly appreciate it!

Have you confirmed that the paper size that the users job is requesting matches what is loaded and set on Tray 2? If not it will go to tray 1 and try to print. Setting tray 2 to any type and any size will cause this issue.

ill have to double check what that was set to when i go back over tomorrow morning. If i remember correctly i think both trays were set to "Any type and size" so that very well could be the issue.

I have changed the size and type of tray 2 to letter, and plain. i have tried keeping tray 1 with any size and type and also tried size and types that i know wouldn't be used like postcard(JIS) size and mono transparency for type. But when ever i try to print a test page the printer keeps giving me the prompt to "load tray 1:plain, Letter". Any other suggestions i could try to get this printer to default print from tray 2?
