HP LaserJet M110we Printer

Hi, I've just purchased an HP Laserjet M110we printer. I just took it out of the box, removed all the packaging, and plugged it in. Both the blue (wireless) light and the red (exclamation point) light immediately began blinking--the blue light more slowly than the red one--and they've continued to blink despite my doing the following:

a) giving it some time (a half hour at least);

b) turning it off, waiting 60 seconds, and turning it back on;

c) unplugging it and plugging it back in;

d) disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord from the back of the printer;

e) holding down the flashing red light for 20 seconds;

f) checking to be sure I'd done everything else the HP installation video shows you how to do;

e) repeating all of these steps multiple times.

(As you can probably imagine, I'm pretty frustrated. I've just wasted two hours.)

Had a LaserJet 4 series which lasted me almost 15 years.  So, when it reached end-of-life, we considered a new LaserJet, based on our experiences.  Purchased a LaserJet M110WE a couple of months ago. Everything was fine, until the toner needed to be replaced.  Replaced the toner about two weeks ago. About four days ago, the printer stopped printing, and all the lights started flashing.

On 2GHz wireless.  Everything worked fine for about three months. No changes in anything, except the new toner cartridge.  Based on other users on this forum/message board, I unplugged the printer for an hour, removed the toner, reset the printer to factory settings, replaced the toner, etc.  No change.  All lights are still blinking.

Background info:  I have over 30 years IT/Troubleshooting and have run helpdesks at Fortune 5 companies.  So any "have you tried" basic troubleshooting, I've done.  The problem is either a faulty component, or something stored in memory that doesn't get reset by Factory Reset or unplugging it.

I've downloaded HP Smart and tried to connect, but as soon as I click on the printer, it says that it can't connect to the wireless. (I've exited and reopened the app and tried many times.)

The user manual says that when both lights are blinking, that means it's initializing or cooling and I should wait. But that isn't the problem.
