Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We just purchased a new LaserJet M610 plus an additional 550 sheet paper tray and an envelope tray. I have the trays set to the following:

Tray 1 - Letter/Any

Tray 2 - Letter/Bond (used for letterhead)

Tray 3 - Letter/Plain

Tray 4 - Envelope #10/Envelope

My issue seems to be with Automatically Select vs. Printer Auto Select under Paper Source in the driver. Tray 2 we use for letterhead. I have it set to "Bond" because that is how our case management software has always coded Word documents when we create them. It works on all of our other printers. But, with this new printer as my default, when I generate a document and it creates the Word document, Page Setup shows the first page printing to tray 3 (plain...aka copy paper) when it should be going to tray 2 (bond).

There appears to be no "Automatically Select" option...only the "Printer Auto Select". Am I missing something obvious? I checked all of our other printers through control panel and they are all set to "Automatically Select" under Paper Source in the driver. I assume that it what is preventing it from determining the correct tray.

Printers and printer drivers are the one thing in life I hate dealing with.

Please confirm what driver you are using. Exact driver and revision. IE: HP Universal Printer Driver  PCL6 Rev: 7.02

We had our IT company set it up because we use Printix as our online printer server. When I checked on my computer, I noticed that it was using the driver "HP LaserJet M604 PCL6". I don't know why, so I switched it to "HP LaserJet M610 M611 M612 PCL-6 (V4). I checked in the Printix Dashboard and the driver listed was also the HP LaserJet M604 PCL6. So, I changed the driver in there as well.

I forgot to add, the driver version is 8.00.1329.7123.

This issue is resolved. I ended up changing the printer driver to the same Universal HP LaserJet PCL6 driver that our other HP LaserJets are using and it fixed the issue. It's odd that using the driver MEANT for that particular printer did not work, yet using the universal driver did. That's why I hate dealing with printers....
