Greetings! I have a HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw. It was working fine on my Windows 11 desktop, but now will not print. The printer is connected over WiFi. I have two Apple Macbook Pro's and they both connect and print perfectly, as well as our cell phones, so the connection issue is within the PC. The PC is hard-wired into the router that the HP printer is wirelessly connected to.
I have uninstalled the printer from my Windows 11 PC and reinstalled it. When reinstalling it, it is now showing as "HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw (47849C)" and shows as idle, but will not let me print or set to default. I have tried installing the HP Smart software, as well as the full product suite, but each time it says that the drivers are missing and it cannot install it, to do so manually. I install the printer manually through Windows 11 and get the first condition noted, showing as Idle and not allowing me to select the printer.
The setup, at one point, said it was unable to find the printer over wireless settings and asked me to hardwire it into my router. I do not have a long enough cable at the moment so did not complete that, but everything is finding it wirelessly just fine, but it won't work or configure through my Windows 11 PC (desktop).
Also, not being very familiar, I did try in Windows 11 to do the "Add Device" and then clicked "Show Wi-Fi Direct Printers" and added the DIRECT-ca-HP M234 Laserjet, but I cannot select it or remove it at this point, so I am unsure of what to do with that setting.
The printer also will not show in the Print dialogue box when attempting to print from my browser or PDF.
Any advice and insight is greatly appreciated.

Hello @HelpMePlease128 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Here's what you need to do:
- Disconnect printer/scanner from computer- Disable WLAN, WiFi and/or remove the USB or LAN cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
- Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
- Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- download only this complete package: HP Universal Scan - Full Feature Software and Driver
- File name: Full_Webpack-51.10.6089-SJ0001_Full_Webpack.exe (411.2 MB)
- Close all programs
- Reconnect the printer to the power supply and switch it on (if this does not happen automatically)
- Please note: WLAN has to be deactivated!
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE
- the installation is performed according to the connection type, then connect the printer accordingly
- The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
- Restart the System again
- Now the installation is complete.
Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
I would be pleased to receive your feedback.
Kind Regards
