Hello,
I have been struggling with printing on my MacBook M1. I can't connect myself to the printer HP LaserJet P1102w.
When I want to print something it says that my printer is offline, although I am connected to it through the USB cable.
I also did open up the system preferences > scanners & printers and added mine to the list. At first it said that my printer is online (green light) but a few minutes later it is pointing out that my printer if offline (red light).
Besides, I downloaded the HP Easy Start app but every time I try to install the "Essential Software" presented in the app, a message saying "unable to communicate with the device" (see image below) pops up. And when I press try again, the same thing keeps popping up and up...
the problem
Could anyone help me with my struggle?
Thanks

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues printing.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
- Goto https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/ASU/HP_Easy_St...
- and then click Download.
- After the software downloads, open HP Easy Start.
- Click File, and then select Uninstall HP Software... from the menu.
- Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue.
- When prompted, type your administrator user name and password.
- HP Uninstaller removes all HP printer software previously installed.
- If you are reinstalling the HP printer software, click Set Up New Device, and then follow the instructions to install the printer with HP EasyStart.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

The link above takes you to a windows file not a mac (HP easy start). I uninstalled all HP software and drivers, but when attempting to use the latest driver from HP, the OS Sur 11.2.3 gives an error indicating that the volume does not meet the requirements to run on the mac. This is the latest driver from HP https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/closure/hp-laserjet-pro-p1102-printer-series/411039...
So it looks like there is no solution.
thanks
