Hi Guys,

Took me hours and no luck. Even attempted to reach HP support... guy hang up after 20min asking questions

While changing paper noticed an update icon on the printer - went ahead and problems started..

- I no longer can print, but I can scan

- I removed the printed, can't install it either via wi-fi or usb. Tried... 20+ times.

- I can print from other computers (wi-fi) but not the main one I used

I have tried to install, basic, full, hp smart... no luck.

Firmware date seems fine.

So you can scan ?

How is finally your MFP connected ?

Try simple direct USB connection, but first uninstall all drivers and restart Win 10. Then power on MFP and connect USB. Does WIN 10 indicate a new device is connected ? If not, change cable, change port of computer.

If this does not help you have either a problem with Windows or hardware problem with printer USB port.

Try another connection - LAN for instance. Connect your printer LAN port to your Local Area Network. Should receive IP via DHCP, depends how your LAN is configured. Then in Windows add new device using this IP port.

Hi Stefan,

I have tried all the options, usb, ethernet,wifi...

Every option I try end of 10 min + of the window with installing network device, and each time ending up with unsuccessful installation...

I am giving up,

I can scan yes,

Printer works when using other PCs

All was fine until the HP update...

So printer works fine with all its functions on other computers in your network ?

Maybe your problem is with your Windows ?

Turned out, HP App had to be uninstalled via App store, not the windows.

Uni staling it via windows settings somehow wasn't really uninstalling it... crazy!!
