Hi, everyone. I am wondering if anyone has some insight into what is the newest firmware for the M570dn that still allows for aftermarket HP toner to be used? Thank you for your time.

Thank you for that @Valsimot. The only "supply" related thing listed on there is on the 20220414 release that says "Supplies related fixes."

In your opinion, is that the update that stopped allowing non-HP supplies? Also, do you have a good link to previous firmware downloads? Thank you for your time.

I think that M570 is too old printer model to have a HP dynamic security feature in printers firmware that enables use of non-HP toner cartridges.

It would be clearly stated as a new "fix" in the printer's firmware release.

Thank you for the reply. I want to try to upgrade the firmware, but want to be able to roll-back if needed. Do you have a link to any of the older firmware versions?

Update: I have located old firmware versions 20190226 and 20200625, but when I try to update the printer it says that it is receiving the update and it does not give me any errors, but when the printer gets back to the "ready" screen I check the firmware datecode and it still has not updated. I have also tried with the latest 20220414 version with the same result - no errors during the update or after, but the datecode still says 20170324 on the printer config info itself. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

EDIT: I had to check "Allow Updates" in the printer itself. My bad...
