Apparently, HP has disabled all Laserjet 1022n printers or won't allow Windows 11 to run the printer. I've tried all suggestions regarding rebooting, powering off and turning back on, trying to download drivers, running suggestions from other forum windows. Nothing works and my 1022n will not work on Windows 11. Windows 11 will not recognize the printer and if I try to manually load it, I get a message saying I have to uninstall. Trying that I get a message that says the uninstall software is not working and I have to delete the driver manually. I only have 2 HP files left in my control panel, and I think they are needed for my HP laptop. I am so fed up with HP and since it can't be fixed, I will never purchase another HP product.

Are you connecting via network or usb. If USB you may need to install this USB update for Windows. This is a Microsoft issue not HP but HP does have a fix https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL44939/fp-148007-1/Dot4x64.msi
Also, I have included a document from HP on the chance that you have not seen it that covers a lot of things to try. https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_2224996-1993298-16
Last chance I would suggest is that you download the HP Smart UPD driver and try that. Your printer is not listed as supported but I have had decent success with unlisted printers working. https://support.hp.com/ca-en/help/smartupd
