Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a networked (via a wireless router) Laserjet 4 plus and cannot find an appropriate driver.

The printer worked perfectly from my HP Pavilion (with original Windows 10) laptop until I did a reload using the HP Recovery utility.  It continues to work with the desktop which also runs Windows 10.

No matter what I try, Windows (on the laptop) does not find an appropriate driver yet it does on the desktop.  When I try the driver used by the desktop I get an "incorrect version" (or something similar) error message.  Again the printer worked with BOTH computers before I reloaded the laptop.  The laptop was kept fully up-to-date via Windows Update.

I've searched and searched for solutions to no avail.  I've tried numerous HP "universal" drivers.  I've found older (presumed) solutions to include links to drivers for Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit) but none work.  The best I can ever get is an "Incorrect Personality" (or something like that) on the printer display when I attempt to printer using a manually installed driver.

Please help!  I know the printer is old but it's fully accessorized and since it has only home use has a low total print count.  It remains my main printer due to its reliability and very low cost per copy.

I believe that the product number is C2037A

I see nothing else on the on the identification tag besides the serial number USFB154935 and the FCC ID#

It connects to my router via a JETDIRECT 10Base-T interface.

Thank you in advance!

I found a reasonable solution in this thread:

If a dedicated driver exists I'll be happy to use it however.
