Hi @Vikas41,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To perform a factory reset on an HP LaserJet M283fdw printer, you can follow these steps:
- Access the Control Panel: Make sure the printer is turned on and ready.
- Navigate to the Setup Menu: Use the touchscreen display on the printer to access the setup menu. You may need to tap or swipe to navigate through the menu options.
- Select "Service" or "Support" Menu: Within the setup menu, look for options related to service or support.
- Find "Restore Defaults" or "Factory Reset": Look for an option that allows you to reset the printer to its factory defaults. This option is typically located within the service or support menu.
- Confirm the Reset: Once you've found the factory reset option, the printer may prompt you to confirm the action. Confirm that you want to proceed with the factory reset.
- Wait for the Reset to Complete: The printer will begin the reset process, which may take a few moments to complete. Make sure not to turn off the printer during this time.
- Restart the Printer: After the reset is complete, the printer will restart automatically. Once it has restarted, it should be restored to its factory default settings.
Refer to this document: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw user guide
If you're unable to find the factory reset option in the setup menu, you can also refer to the printer's user manual for specific instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
