After Upgrade to the newest Firmware Printer is stuck in Loop: Ready 2 Download > Erasing > Fatal Error 7.

Reinstallation of Printer Driver, Emptying Printer Cahche, Pulling Power Cord, Sending Update when Printer is off, ... did not help.

Firmware Version is 20211215.

Any advice is very welcome.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting an error after upgrading to the latest firmware, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to reset the printer.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

 

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

i have same problem, psl email me the solution as well. i see you now removed the corrupted firmware from m130nw home page. When can we except the new NEW firmware?

This solution actually works. Do not be afraid of the french screen shots.

 

The basic steps are:

- Download HP_LaserJet_Pro_MFP_M130_M132_Ultra_MFP_M134_Printer_20201023.ENG.rfu

- Connect the printer with USB

- Setup the printer driver using the USB port

-  Share the Printer : this will create a file share at \\localhost-name\Printer-share-name

- Copy the rfu file to the printer share using the cmd prompt.

 

Now I waiting for a new version of the firmware (in order to close any security leaks).

HP friendly posted a shortcut for resetting the printer. This shortcut did not work on my Laserjet MFP M130 NW. 

The printer could be reactivated using the advice by mbo_ma.

Now I am waiting for a new version of the firmware (the december version) has been removed from the HP Website.

for God sake nothing is solved here, we need official new firmware, we are wothout our printers for weeks now.  we need solution on this page, working firmware with instructions how to upload it because we are on Ready 2 download.
