I am having an issue installing my laserjet pro M203dw. I own two and use them on two different wifi networks. One installed properly and shows the model as HP LaserJet M203-206-AirPrint. The second on the second network does not allow to be installed and require prompts me to use LaserJet M203-206.
Any idea what could be causing this issue?

Hi,
Please clarify which Mac is working, is it the Mac 11 (Big Sur) or the 12 (Monterey) computer?
Or may both work on one network and not on the other network?
Also, are you able to print a Wireless Test Report for the printer?

The printer that is working properly installs correctly on both Mac OS 11 and 12. The one that does not is problematic currently on Mac OS 12.
Yes to the wireless test report.
First seven lines from the top down are Pass, followed by Excellent, Yes, 28, 3, 3, 0, 1
Configuration summary matches the Wifi network information.

Thanks for clarifying, that means that the issue occur due to the wireless network environment or the printer only, as the Mac computer properly print with AirPrint on the other network
From the EWS page, as accessed the Wireless Test Report open the Networking tab, under AirPrint click on Status and ensure that AirPrint is enabled for the printer, then check for any difference while trying to add the printer.
If the issue persist, please contact your router service provider and ensure the following:
1. If you have a dual-band router, ensure it have a unique SSID for each band if possible by your router, else disable one of the SSIDs.
2. If you have any additional access points, make sure that each device have a unique SSID.
3. ensure your router supports Bonjour and allow a proper Multicast/mDNS communication, not all routers support a such and some have this disabled by default.
Now make sure that both the printer and the Mac are connected to the same SSID and check for any difference.
Please let me know how it goes,
Shlomi
