After installing the driver from HP for my HP LaserJet 1536dnf MFP, attempts to print from my MacBook cause PJL commands to be printed (rather than interpreted).
One workaround that I tried was to install it with a generic PCL driver, but unfortunately that causes the duplexing feature to ignore preferences about page binding.
Is it possible to get a driver that will maintain printer features and interpret PJL?

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!
Let's try using Apple's AirPrint driver.
Follow the steps below:
1.) Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
2.) Click Printers & Scanners or Print & Scan.
3.) If your printer is listed, click the name of your printer, then click the minus sign to delete the printer.
4.) Click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
6.) Try using the printer with the Airprint driver.
Let me know what happens.
