HP Printer Envy 6530e
Microsoft Windows 11

I have bought a Lenovo laptop with snapdragon and cannot print from the laptop to the HP Envy printer, although it looks like it is working it does not print anything at all. I think the problem is that snapdragon and the printer are not compatible.

Hi @Jane1419

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I am sorry for the difficulty you are facing with your Lenovo laptop using Snapdragon and the HP Envy 6530e printer. I understand how frustrating it feels when the printer appears connected but refuses to produce a page.

I appreciate the effort you’ve already made in identifying that the issue may be related to compatibility.

Here are steps you can try to get printing working smoothly:

Step 1: Install the HP App

  • On your Windows 11 laptop, open the Microsoft Store.
  • Search for “HP App” and install it.
  • Launch the app, sign in with your HP account, and add the Envy 6530e printer.
  • This ensures the correct communication path with ARM‑based Snapdragon devices.

Step 2: Use Windows Update for Drivers

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
  • Install any optional updates, especially those related to printers.
  • This helps load ARM64‑compatible drivers.

Step 3: Download Drivers from HP Support

Step 4: Add Printer via Windows Settings

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click “Add device” and select your HP Envy 6530e.
  • If it appears twice, choose the one labeled “Web Services” or “ePrint.”

Step 5: Test with USB Connection

  • If Wi‑Fi printing fails, connect the printer directly to the laptop with a USB cable.
  • Windows should automatically detect and install the correct driver.

Step 6: Run Diagnose & Fix in HP App

  • Open the HP App.
  • Select your printer > Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Run the scan to automatically detect and resolve communication issues.

These steps should help bridge the gap between your Snapdragon laptop and the HP Envy 6530e printer, ensuring you can print reliably.
