Hi @gurani

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That’s definitely confusing—and I’m really sorry it’s making things harder than it should be. Let’s get those scanned files to show up where you want them!

📁 Where Your Scans Might Be Hiding

By default, scanned documents from the HP ENVY 6455e using the HP Smart app on Windows are usually saved in one of these locations:

  • C:\Users\[YourUsername]\Documents\HP Smart\Scan
  • C:\Users\[YourUsername]\Pictures\HP Smart\Scan
  • Or inside your OneDrive folder if cloud saving is enabled:
    • C:\Users\[YourUsername]\OneDrive\HP Smart\Scan

You can open File Explorer and search for the file name or just type Scan in the search bar to help locate them.

🛠️ How to Choose Where Scans Are Saved (Next Time)

  1. Open the HP Smart app
  2. Click on Scan
  3. After scanning, click Save
  4. You’ll see a window pop up with a default folder—click Browse to choose a different location
  5. You can also rename the file before saving

If you don’t see the save prompt, it’s possible the app is using a shortcut or auto-save setting. Let me know if that’s the case and I’ll help you tweak it.

We’ll make sure your next scan doesn’t play hide-and-seek. Let me know if you’d like help customizing the save path or setting up a shortcut! 😊
