The network on my newly unboxed 9110b is locked and cannot be found by my computer.  Also, the username and password is not admin.  I cannot restore network settings, as that is locked as well.  How do I unlock the network?

Hi @DavidCon,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your printer's network settings are locked and you're unable to access them. Here are a few steps you can try to unlock the network on your 9110b series printer.

  • Reset the Printer: Look for a reset button or a reset option in the printer's menu. This will reset the printer to its factory settings, including the network settings. Check the printer's manual for specific instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Check for Physical Locks: Some printers have physical locks that prevent access to certain settings. Make sure there are no physical locks or switches on the printer that might be preventing you from accessing the network settings.
  • Update Firmware: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve issues with locked settings. Check the HP website for any firmware updates available for your printer model and follow the instructions to update it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
