Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the same issue that seems to be quite a common post.

My CP1525nw network settings are "secure" and won't allow me to change my network settings.

I have recycles the power \\ tried to update drivers without any success. I would like to do a factory reset via the control panel.

I am an experienced tech however it has been a while since I need to wander off in the printers firmware.

Can you send be the key combination to default the printer?

Also the printer does print if I attach manually with a USB cable

Hi @Chip64 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Performing a factory reset on the HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer can help resolve network-related issues. Here's how you can do it:

Power off the Printer: Make sure the printer is powered on, and then turn it off.

Press and Hold Buttons: While the printer is off, press and hold the "Cancel" button (X) and the "Wireless" button at the same time.

Power On the Printer: While still holding down the buttons, turn the printer back on.

Continue Holding: Continue holding the buttons until the printer's lights flash or the control panel display shows some kind of reset message.

Release the Buttons: Once you see signs of a reset or after a few seconds, release the "Cancel" and "Wireless" buttons.

Wait for Reset: The printer will go through the reset process. It might take a minute or two.

Check Network Settings: After the reset, check the network settings to ensure they have returned to default. You might need to reconfigure the network settings if necessary.

Please note that performing a factory reset will erase any custom settings, including network configurations, and the printer will return to its default state.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
