We're in a vacation home rental.  Need to get printer onto their network.  we did this last year, but having trouble this year.

If you do not have an ink subscription and do not receive print jobs mailed to the printer then no need for the printer to be connected to the network.

 

Just use Wi-Fi direct and print directly to the printer.

If the printer needs to be on the network then

The WPS or pushbutton setup may be easier and does not use a smartphone. See page 22
